Traveling with an animal of any species often comes with many requirements of the carrier, transporter and destination. It is important to allow ample time for any travel related certification needs.
- Interstate travel to the contiguous United States usually requires examination within 2-4 weeks of the travel date.
- Livestock shows are more frequently requiring health certificates and most must be completed within 30 days of the show date.
- Hawai'i and international travel usually requires several months of preparation and may involve extensive testing through an outside laboratory.
Please be sure to alert us as soon as possible if you are aware of upcoming travel plans that involve your animals. As soon as you plan travel, please complete the following questionnaire based on the option that best describes your situation.
